A few weeks back, when I announced to my kith and kin that I invited my parents to come live with me, everyone had the same question- if I was expecting a baby. Well, I am not.
I totally understand the harmless cliche thinking and the intelligent assumptions, but I invited my parents to just to be with me, happy and peaceful for a few weeks.

A few concerned folks also asked me if I would get too tired managing my old parents, my job and other stuff- I can't help but appreciate their affection.
My parents fed me well, took care of me when I was sick, paid for my schooling, tuitions, my bikes, dance classes, music classes, books, birthday parties, college, my first car, vacations, beautiful dresses, my wedding, jewelry, taught me how to walk, talk, eat, love and live--
Just like how I was apple of their eye and never ever considered a burden, it is a pleasure and relief to have them around - not because my mom will cook delicacies for me or dad will pay for stuff - but just that I can have the privilege of taking care of them.

PS: Yes, I am a (married) woman.
